Who We Are

The Honorable Peter Polos (Ret.) brings a unique expertise from both sides of the bench. During his tenure with the Orange County Superior Court, Judge Polos presided over thousands of cases and hundreds of trials.

Before taking the bench, Judge Polos had considerable experience litigating and trying dozens of cases to verdict. He is a longtime member of ABOTA and the law firms in which Judge Polos has worked with in private practice have achieved more than one billion dollars in verdicts and settlements. Accordingly, Judge Polos is uniquely positioned to evaluate the merits of legal claims and how both judges and juries are inclined to adjudicate them.

Judge Polos has litigated and presided over mass tort cases, business litigation, product liability cases, and intellectual property disputes. Prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge Polos was a member of the Plaintiff's Executive Committee of the Coordinated Fen/Phen Litigation; he was on the Executive Committee for the Coordinated Ford/Firestone Litigation; and was the Co-Lead Counsel for Southern California for the Coordinated Sulzer Hip Litigation.
